Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible to implement the nursing process within the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center and the continuum of care. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions.

Location: Perth Amboy

Responsibilities

Functional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assesses the physical and psycho-socio health status health status of individuals and families through the nursing interview.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates the Medical assistant regimen for assigned patients.
  • Records, reports, and interpret client’s responses and collaborates with appropriate members of the health team.
  • Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary committees which influence or determine policies affecting nursing practice.
  • Maintains professional competence through participating in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences.
  • Assists the providers with diagnostic procedures and treatment regimens.
  • Assists the NSBHC Assistant Clinical Director in the maintenance of a Quality Assurance Program.
  • Attends regularly scheduled meeting when assigned.
  • The registered nurse will perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the NSBHC Assistant Clinical Director.
  • In charge of the VFC program for IM in Perth Amboy and inventory of vaccines
  • Train staff on proper infection control practices

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Professional:

Licensed and currently registered to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the State of New Jersey license must be in good standing, and current CPR card. Demo

Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.

Prior experience in a comprehensive, ambulatory care setting is preferred.

Preferred bilingual in Spanish.
