Overview

The Jewish Renaissance Medical Center is one of 21 Federally Qualified Health Centers in the state of NJ. Our mission is to provide primary and preventative care to patients regardless of ability to pay, race, ethnicity, and cultural competence. In the last 10 years, the JRMC has been able to expand to over 6 locations in the Middlesex and Essex County areas and provide services to our patients in specialties such as Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, as well as Dental care.  By joining and being a member of our team, you will be able to give great care to patients as well as work in a great environment.

Responsibilities

Functional Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Provide and coordinate all aspects of patient care as defined  by their specialty, including: responsibility for proper maintenance of the medical record (i.e. charting); problem follow-up; and arranging for and coordinating specialty consultations.
  2. Serve as major medical resource with their own area of expertise to other JRMC providers.  This will involve direct supervision of nurse practitioners, as needed, as well as acting as medical consultant to other JRMC providers when required, and keeping up-to-date in the individual specialty and actively sharing new knowledge.
  3. Share responsibility with other JRMC providers (as designated by the Chief Medical Officer) for the following:
    1. Development, maintenance, and provision of an after hours telephone coverage system.
    2. Maintenance of the problem-oriented record keeping system to be used jointly with nurse practitioners, social workers, nutritionists, and other health care providers.
    3. Maintenance and utilization of a comprehensive database.
    4. Development and maintenance of an audit system to evaluate and monitor the quality of care rendered and to insure compliance with protocols and that all providers give care that is complete  that is complete, up-to-date, and uniformly applied to all patients in similar situations.

  4. Be involved in the design and maintenance of in-service programming for health care providers in JRMC.  Release time for C.M.E. activities will be at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer.
  5. Physicians at the JRMC will have overall responsibility for the provision and coordination of patient care as defined by their specialty (i.e., Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, and Family Medicine).  This includes:
    1. Provision of health maintenance services.
    2. Diagnosis and management of disease.
    3. Arranging for and coordinating specialty consultations.
    4. Serving as major medical resources within their own areas of expertise to other JRMC providers.  This involves direct supervision of nurse practitioners, as needed, as well as acting as medical consultants to other JRMC members when required.
    5. Participating in on-call system to insure continuity of care.

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

 

  1. New Jersey State License
  2. CDS, DEA and CPR certification
  3. Board Eligibility or Certification.
  4. MD or DO as graduated by a Medical School
  5. Orientation toward primary care delivery.
  6. Previous work experience in a comprehensive health care setting.
